Assorted Miniatures began around 1992 as a handful of friends with the common interest of customizing minitrucks. It was formed by Robert Beard of Oak Grove, LA. We attended shows all around the Southern states. As other clubs were out to become the biggest by adding chapters, we adopted a 'Quality over Quantity' rule. Since we kept the club small, it truly has a family atmosphere that still holds true today.

Along the way we realized that there weren't enough shows in our area and decided to host one of our own. That show has become a phenomenal success--ShowFest in Greenville, MS. Since the landscape of our membership has expanded to include VWs, compacts, and fullsizes, we've just shortened our identity to simply be "ASSORTED".
